NORTHAMPTON GENERAL HOSPITALLocum Consultant in Plastic SurgeryA vacancy has arisen for the post of Locum Consultant in Plastic Surgery. The appointment will initially be for 3 months.This post holder will provide broad plastic surgery service. Specifically this will cover Skin Cancer, Hand Trauma and General and Paediatric Plastic Surgery This appointment will be based at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust . The Department of Plastic Surgery was established in April 2006. The focus of the unit is to deliver a high quality local service particularly for hand trauma, breast reconstruction and skin cancer surgery. Elective hand surgery and general reconstructive surgery are also undertaken. Currently the unit has two consultants. It is anticipated that the Plastic Surgery unit will undergo an expansion in the next year or two.Applicants should have completed their plastic surgical training, passed the FRCS Plast ( or equivalent) and should have at least 4 years previous experience in Plastic Surgery at Specialist Registrar level.Short listed applicants are encouraged to visit the hospital and should contact the Plastic Surgery department on 01604 545514.
