The IT Department at Northampton General Hospital is currently looking to recruit a Head of Technology.

This role manages the Helpdesk, Technicians, Infrastructure, Cyber and Telecommunications functions for the Hospital. This is a challenging role that keeps the hardware infrastructure up to date and plans for the future of Cloud-Services, and the impact of new communication technologies. Our ambition and vision as a group is to maintain our investment in new technologies and continue to high provide the high standard of support to our end users.

The Technology Team plays a core role in the NGH IT strategy of becoming an Information Led hospital.

Working to the Chief Information Officer, you will work closely with the Head of Clinical Systems, The Head of Data Quality Security and Protection and the Head of Informatics to enable services and promote a highly productive technological-driven hospital.

You will be expected to contribute to the innovative ideas that help transform the way people work and interact with technology and information. You will be a subject matter expert on all things network, hardware, infrastructure and security.

You will be to expected build strong working relationships with key vendors and liaise closely with peers across other Healthcare Organisations to enable cross-organsational working practice.

As a member of the IT team, you will play a valuable part in managing and delivering support to a range of hardware and software solutions. You will be a leader and will ensure to maintain a helpful attitude within your team and the department.

You should possess good troubleshooting skills, presentational skills and be able to work through issues logically to provide options and appropriate resolutions in a timely manner.
